About the event
Summer offers unique opportunities for children to grow, learn, and connect. Children do not need a schedule packed with expensive activities to thrive. Physical activity, opportunities for creativity, time to be bored, safe exploration, and meaningful family connections all help build healthy brains, strong relationships, and positive childhood experiences that last long after summer ends. Join us as we explore simple ways to make the most of summer while supporting your child's development and well-being.
By the end of this Parent Café, participants will:
Understand the benefits of physical activity during the summer.
Recognize the value of boredom and unstructured time.
Explore the importance of imagination and creative play.
Review important summer safety considerations.
