About the event
Positive childhood experiences, like feeling safe, supported, and connected, have been shown to protect mental health and improve well-being well into adulthood. In this Parent Café, families will explore the seven positive childhood experiences and how they help build resilience, emotional health, and hope for the future. Through guided conversation and shared reflection, participants will recognize the powerful impact of everyday moments and leave with practical ideas they can use right away to support their children’s mental and emotional well-being.
By the end of the Café, parents will:
Learn what Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) are and how they support lifelong mental health.
Understand how positive experiences can buffer stress and adversity at any stage of childhood.
Identify simple, realistic ways families can build positive experiences into daily life.
Reflect on strengths they already bring to their families and how those strengths support their children’s future well-being.
